International Women's Day History Walk and Talk

Start: Tuesday, March 08, 202211:00 AM

End: Tuesday, March 08, 202212:30 PM

Join us for a free walk and talk featuring inspiring women from Worcester's past. Starting by the statue of Vesta Tilley in the Cornmarket we will take a tour of places in the city associated with some of Worcester's famous women and their triumphs and setbacks. The talk will be led by one of our women city councillors, Marjory Bisset.

The walk of 2.6km will take around 90 minutes, with stops along the way to learn about the lives of our heroines, with thoughts on how to break the bias of today's world and strive for equality.

We will end the walk at Be The Change, a leading vegan restaurant, in New Street, not far from the start point. After you have RSVP'ed you will be asked if you wish to stay for an informal lunch.

If you RSVP to this event or other Green Party events before the 5th May you will be entered into a free draw for a £50 voucher for a meal at Be The Change.

All are welcome including well-behaved dogs and children. Access is limited at one point with steps down to the river, but an alternative guided route is possible without missing out on any key characters and sites.
