Our San Diego Congressional Representatives will be attending a luncheon at the Manchester Grand Hyatt on Friday April 21.  We are organizing Rallies to let our Representatives know how to truly represent San Diego interests.

Did you know that Trump threatens our economy more than that of any other city?  No city has more to lose than we do.

According to Forbes our economy could be the first to falter in the U.S. if Trump banishes 11M undocumented workers. In other words, in San Diego Trump is bad for business.  

We'll be demonstrating in front of the Manchester Grand Hyatt on Friday to ask our 5 Congressional leaders whether they'll be working for Trump or for San Diego - because they can't do both.

Rally Times

The luncheon runs from 11:00 to 1:30. There will be 2 rallies:  

• one from 10:00-11:00 and
• one from 1:00-2:00.  
• You can attend both or just one. If you stay for both, in between the rallies we might suggest you enjoy Seaport Village shopping or lunch across the street at the famous Kansas City BBQ.

Rally Location

We plan to meet and rally on the sidewalk in front of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. Depending on the turnout to the rally we may take up additional space!  We will be working with the local police to be orderly and respectful of private property.

Parking

• We highly recommend taking the trolley. The Seaport Village stop is directly across the street from the hotel.
• Limited metered parking is available in nearby lots such as:
• Embarcadero Marina lot (behind Hyatt, adjacent to Seaport Village, less than .2 mile walk to Hyatt, roughly 80 spaces, including 8 ADA spaces; Opens at 6:00am)
• Embarcadero Marina South lot (less than 1 mile walk to Hyatt; please note that half of the lot will be closed on 4/21. This means there will be roughly 70 metered spaces, including 4 ADA spaces
• Paid lots:
  
  • Embassy suites advertises $10 all day public parking (roughly .2 mile from Hyatt)
  • County Administration Building lot $10 (roughly .5 mile walk)

Signs

Please bring signs that let everyone know Trump is bad for business in San Diego. Some possibilities are:

• A border wall is bad for business
• San Diego innovation builds bridges not walls
• A trade war with Mexico will hurt us all
• Hey Darrell and Duncan! Tell Trump No Wall, No Tariffs!
• Bans Keep Out People Businesses Need
• Mass deportations will hurt San Diego
• Walls + bans = morally & economically wrong

Other timely topics are: Trump’s ties to Russia, Trump releasing his taxes, and the budget.  And of course, Duncan Hunter is under criminal investigation!
