This is it folks. Thursday, September 22nd, the ultimate Bike Jam event of the summer, Jamapalooza 2022. We're gonna jam it up all across Chicago for World Car Free Day. Join us in the Loop at the Picasso for a Bike Jam starting at 5:30pm. We are also organizing SIX Bike Buses from Hyde Park, Bridgeport, Pilsen, West Loop, Wicker Park, and Lincoln Park that will converge with the Loop Bike Jam. All Bike Buses will meet at 5:30 in their respective neighborhoods and roll out at 5:45. The Jam will get bigger and bigger as each bus rolls in.

Chicago, Bike Grid Now is calling on the city to implement a network of safe residential streets with 10mph speed limits on at least 10% of streets.

The need for safe streets infrastructure across Chicago is undeniable as our communities and families grapple with over 100 people killed in traffic crashes so far this year, including over 30 pedestrians and cyclists. Inequity and policy failure in housing, public transit access, environmental protection, and so many other quality of life indicators worsen in our city. The world is facing a climate crisis that requires drastic action. What Chicago needs is a bike grid, not gridlock.
