Join us for a Thursday afternoon phone bank at 1769 15th Street on January 9th, previously the Chesa Boudin for San Francisco District Attorney office and now the Shahid Buttar for Congress Office. We have a phone bank shifts happening all afternoon, from 4:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Join us for a 2-3 hour shift and enjoy some free pizza and hot cocoa with us while calling San Francisco voters. No need to worry if this is your first time phone banking. We'll have a clear script ready for you and a whole group of folks to help you through the process!
A lot of folks are curious if phone banking is worth the energy. Phone banking is worth the energy and then some! Besides canvassing, phone banking is the most effective way to clean voter lists and identify active voters.
Phone banking will allow us to build our ‘universe’ of Shahid voters in San Francisco. Our campaign has access to PDI, which is a big database of people who live in the district (or, at least, who lived there at the time of the last election). PDI has information about how frequently those folks voted in the past, and in which party’s primary elections they’ve previously voted. Beyond even getting out the vote, phone banking has a really important purpose -- to identify voters.
