Have you ever experienced ageism in healthcare? Real life examples leave lasting impressions. We know that ageism impacts our health and wellbeing and real examples help tell the story. Your experiences inform our work and enrich our content. We want to know what you have seen and heard.

Here are just a couple of examples that we’ve heard in our work at Changing the Narrative:

• Symptoms are attributed solely to your chronological age: “You can expect to have that pain at your age.”
• Treated as though you’re invisible: “My provider ignored me and only spoke to my care partner.”
