Seattle Green Lake Flotilla to Free the Snake River: Stop Salmon and Orca Extinction

11:30 am to 1 pm: paddle on north side of Green Lake and raise banners

  • Who: Salmon and orca advocates, conservationists, and people of goodwill, including you!

  • What: Rally for Salmon—A festive water event to raise awareness and show support for Snake River dam removal to help save our Southern Resident Killer Whales.

Registration & training is from 10:00 am to 11:30 am with a paddle from the northeast dock over to the northwest inlet by the Boathouse Theater from 11:30 am to 1 pm —about a mile round trip. We will raise banners at both the northeast and northwest locations.

  • Why: To celebrate the gift of wild salmon, generate attention, and demonstrate strong public support for an upcoming decision by Northwest policymakers and the Biden Administration to un-dam the Lower Snake River and replace the dams’ services.
