This will be an interactive workshop led by South London Refugee Association's community group with lived experience leaders.

We will showcase our awareness-raising videos on NRPF, access to Section 17 and legal advice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDnlxtsfI7k&list=PLG2_AM-5Oo-9yyELvgUSFgspp2oihH-mm

These videos were created guided by the lived experiences of our members how access to information about rights and services is crucial for survival within the hostile environment, yet often very difficult to access. In an interactive session we want to invite you to think about the role that local authorities can play in making information more accessible and supporting those who are most vulnerable to access their rights.

SPEAKERS:

Rebekka Hoelzle and Group of SLR-A Community Leaders, South London Refugee Association (SLR-A)

South London Refugee Association is a front line community organisation providing specialist advice and support to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants who are at risk or in crisis because of past trauma or restrictions related to their current immigration status. We have been working in South London since 1991 and we are a well regarded and trusted local service able to clearly evidence our impact.
