The mobilization following the killing of George Floyd - Is it a moment, or a movement? How is racial inequality impacted by the 5 economic essentials that the AFL-CIO has been advocating Congress to pass? There are many urgent and necessary conversations happening within Labor, the Black community, the Religious Community, and the progressive community around the racial injustice highlighted by the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery; the disparate impact of COVID-19 on workers of Color, and the economic essentials necessary to stabilize and rebuild our country. This discussion is a space to bring these constituencies together to engage on these issues and explore short and long term remedies. We hope to engage in a real and productive discussion
