Labor Teach-In: Introduction to Palestine and Israel - events, concepts, and ideologies

Start: Tuesday, April 02, 2024 5:30 PM

End: Tuesday, April 02, 2024 8:30 PM

This event is for Seattle-based union members and Labor partners ONLY.

Join your fellow union members and Labor partners for a workshop exploring key historical events, concepts, and ideologies that underpin the current round of violence in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

This workshop will be an opportunity to bring your experiences, thoughts, and questions forward.

Please come prepared to participate, ask questions, and listen to each other -- we will be using each other's knowledge and inquiry to strengthen our own thinking around the context of the occupation and violence.

To provide both a safe and impactful experience, this event will be space limited, with a cap of 75 people. We acknowledge that unexpected life circumstances arise and just ask that you are mindful about registering for the event with commitment.

NOTE: In order to honor our community members who are fasting for Ramadan, we will be waiting to serve dinner until after sundown at 7:30 p.m. Appetizers will be available at the start of the event. We will also have a prayer room available at the venue

The space we'll gather in is on the first floor and is accessible for folks who are unable to use stairs and/or use a wheelchair. For any additional accessibility accommodations please reach out to Corina at MLK Labor (corina@mIklabor.org).
