Join the Oregon AFL-CIO and our Central Labor Chapters to kick off the beginning of Labor 2021!

We are excited to support a diverse and inspiring group of candidates, many of whom are union members. These leaders are running for school boards and local offices around the state and support from Oregon Labor and working people in their communities will be the difference-maker on May 18.  

As Oregon continues to recover from the pandemic, local elected leaders will make decisions that can chart the future of our communities. That’s why it’s so important for us to support the candidates we know will stand behind working people and families throughout Oregon.

We are still experiencing the impacts of not only the pandemic, but historic wildfires followed by a brutal winter. We have seen a long-overdue reckoning with institutional and entrenched racism but it is a long journey toward real justice. Our state, communities, schools, workplaces and neighborhoods must recover from these unique challenges while building back better in a way that is truly centered on the needs of working people and families.

From Bend to Ashland, Oregon Labor is ready to make the changes we need in our communities. Will you stand with us and join our kick off on Thursday, April 15 at 5:15pm?

On April 15th We’ll hear from our candidates along with statewide and local labor leaders - then we’ll get on the phones and talk to union voters. All the training you need will be provided, and this exciting event will be held over Zoom so that you can join from home while making a difference for working people. Please make sure your mobile phone is charged and ready before the event to use for phone banking!
