Teachers, School Support Professionals, Principals, School Board Members, Retired Teachers and Superintendent Groups Come Together to Host Statewide Town Hall Meetings to Discuss Public Education
WHO: The Louisiana Association of Educators (LAE), Louisiana Association of Principals (LAP), Louisiana Association of School Superintendents (LASS), Louisiana Federation of Teachers (LFT), Louisiana Retired Teachers Association (LRTA) and the Louisiana School Boards Association (LSBA) invite students, parents, and community members in Lafayette and surrounding parishes.
WHEN: Thursday, February 28, 2019, 5:00 P.M.
WHERE: David Thibodaux Stem Magnet Academy, 805 Teurlings Avenue, Lafayette, LA 70501.
WHY: With important school funding decisions coming in Louisiana’s 2019 Legislative Session, Louisiana educational stakeholder organizations and their members would like to partner with local legislators and the education community to discuss school funding, teacher/school employee pay, and educator recruitment/retention.
