350 South Bay Los Angeles, as part of the Greater SoCal 350 Legislative Committee, is hosting a very special event: An INTERACTIVE legislative training session on ZOOM.
Learn how to lobby your State Legislators to get GOOD climate bills passed and STOP bad ones. Here is how you can learn to fight back against the Fossil Fuel Lobbyists! (Of course, these techniques can work on all types of citizen lobbying efforts!)
Our program is as follows:
1) Overview of California legislative process
2) Effective Citizen Lobbying
3) Break out sessions to practice!
We ask that you by computer (not phone) so you can see training slides and your fellow participants in the breakouts. We will be doing 2 breakouts, including research and a mock meeting with your local legislator.
