Bus and tram stop showing seamless connections in Bern, Switzerland.

In June 2023, eleven Bay Area transit leaders, including public agency staff, advocates, and elected officials, participated in a study delegation visit focused on public transit in Switzerland, which has one of the world's highest ridership transit systems - seamlessly integrated at the national, regional, and local levels.

The group experienced Swiss system first-hand, and through meetings with leaders at different levels of government, learned directly about how the country created such an effective and integrated network even in a complex environment with many transit agencies.

At this webinar, Seamless Bay Area's Adina Levin will moderate a panel discussion with several of the study delegation participants about what were the key insights from the from the experience, and potential lessons for the San Francisco Bay Area.

Seamus Murphy | Executive Director, SF Bay Ferry/WETA
Theresa Rommell | Funding Policy and Programs Section Director, MTC
