Join us on election day as we rally in front of the Land O Lakes Supervisor of Elections office in opposition to a closed primary system where thousands are being locked out locally from voting this election day.

Florida’s closed primary system is a hindrance to voter participation in the primaries. Florida is one of only 9 states with a totally closed primary.

Florida averages only 23 percent vote in primaries as compared to a national average of 37 percent. Voter registration polls indicate that over 3.4 million No Party Affiliation Voters and Minor Party voters are being excluded from voting in primaries. The vast majority of the NPA voters are millennials.
