Letters & Lemonade with Action Utah

Start: Thursday, September 13, 2018 7:00 PM

Take your advocacy to the next level!

Join us for an evening of community and conversation around letters to the editor. Letters to the editor (LTEs) are an effective advocacy tool -- and at just 200 words a pop you can write them at home or on the go anytime. Action Utah leaders will give you tips and tricks for how to write an effective letter to the editor so you can:

  • Educate the community and sway public opinion
  • Get the attention of elected officials
  • Get publicity for issues and/or solutions
  • Influence votes and policy decisions

So grab a cup of lemonade, enjoy some light snacks and meet other caring community members! You'll come away with:

  • Tips and tools for writing and submitting an effective letter to the editor
  • Info and talking points on current issues you can impact with a LTE
  • The opportunity to try writing a LTE and get feedback on the spot

Don't worry if you're not a natural writer or have never published a LTE before. No experience is necessary to get the most out of this workshop and start writing LTEs to impact the issues!
