We are tired of Trump using our immigrant neighbors as pawns and creating human rights crises at the border and in our communities. We also know that there are many layers of government, corporations, and individuals enabling the deportation and detention machine that is ripping our communities apart.

On July 12 we will come together to learn about the different arms of this machine, ongoing immigrant justice campaigns locally and nationally that are fighting back, and how each of us can get involved. This coincides with the national call to action on July 12, Lights for Liberty.

As we get ready to #SeedTheVote for 2020, we need motivated people who are willing to delve deeper into immigrant justice and bring more people into our movements. This call is also an opportunity to learn about our plans to defeat Trump in 2020 and, through the 2020 election, seed future progressive political power and possibilities for visionary organizing. Bay Resistance is rooted in existing community organizing and the leadership of people of color and those most impacted by the Trump administration's attacks. We advance racial, economic, climate, and gender justice by linking new or unconnected activists to existing local organizing leadership.
