Lobby Night in Annapolis (Health Department Locals)

Start: Monday, January 22, 2018 6:00 PM

SAVE THE DATE: Join us in Annapolis on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 6 p.m. AFSCME members from Maryland Department of Health locals will visit key legislators responsible for policies that affect our pay and rights on the job.

The 2018 Maryland General Assembly Session is underway. With our legislators back in Annapolis, we’re making sure our voices and the concerns of State workers are front-and-center.

This is our opportunity to leverage AFSCME’s political power and send a clear message to legislators in Annapolis: The women and men who work in public service are the backbone of our communities across Maryland.

That’s why it’s essential that we make our voices heard during this critical legislative session. We make Maryland happen!  RSVP today and let us know that you’re planning to attend. Be sure to tell your fellow union members to sign up, too.

  • Plan to meet in the lounge of the House of Delegate (just to the rights of the entrance) at 6 p.m.

  • We will have a briefing on our activities at that time. From 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. we will meet with legislators.

  • At 7:45 p.m., we will go to the State House to greet legislators as they go into session.
