This London Green Party Business (Ordinary) Meeting will be your opportunity to review the General Election results (nationally and in London), take a look back at the 2024 Mayor and Assembly Election Campaign, and look forward to our London Assembly Members' plans for the next year. We'll also debate Motions raised by Members.

Standing for Officer Roles or for the Disputes, Complaints, and Disciplinary panel

The current vacant Officer Roles are as follows:

  • Disability Officer
  • Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Officer (1 role available)
  • Non-Portfolio Officers (3 roles available)
  • Disputes, Complaints, and Disciplinary panel roles

Nominations for Officer roles or for the Disputes, Complaints and Disciplinary panel need to be emailed to secretary@london.greenparty.org.uk no later than 17.00 on Friday 19-Jul-2024:

  • Candidates should consent to their nomination and be supported by two members of the Green Party in the London region who are not in grace on the date of the nomination. Additionally, candidates for the Disputes, Complaints and Disciplinary Panel, at least one of either the proposer or the seconder must be a member of the candidate’s local party, and both proposer and seconder must sign a declaration that they believe the candidate to be of good character and suitable for the role.
  • Candidates must be members of the Green Party in the London region and are not in grace on the date of the election. Additionally, candidates for the Disputes, Complaints and Disciplinary Panel must be members of the Green Party for at least 2 years, and eligible as members of the London Green party for at least one year, at the time of their election.
  • Candidates shall be permitted to submit written statements of no more than 300 words to the Returning Officer.
  • Candidates must provide the Disclosure and complete the Declaration given at Annex C of the Standing Orders.
