Los Angeles May 25th Intl Women's Day of Peace and Disarmament

Start: Monday, May 25, 202011:00 AM

End: Monday, May 25, 2020 2:00 PM

May 24th is the International Women’s day for Peace and Disarmament a day they are using to raise up the cost of weapons and war to the planet.  It is the day before US Memorial Day – a day that has been used to almost celebrate war.   We choose to focus on peace and disarmament on Memorial Day weekend.  So there are no more dead from war who need to be remembered.

Join us for a Peace car – avan on Memorial Day.  Each community will make it their own.

In Los Angeles we are meeting at a large parking lot to spell PEACE with our cars it will be photographed by a drone, after which we will caravan to the peace on a major street, and then down the main street by the beach where we will separate into 3 groups of cars to caravan to 3 different locations to drop off our care packages for the growing homeless populations in LA.

One group will drive to Venice Housing Community.

Signage: Make your own signs if you can (or use window paint); we will have some extra signs if you need them. Some themes are: Peace, Global Ceasefire; Hands off Venezuela/Cuba; No Sanctions, No War; Rubio=Warhawk (or whatever message you want)

COVID safety measures: We encourage you to stay in your cars; If you get out, make sure you keep a safe distance and wear masks.
