Love for your Community - District 15 is a documentary screening following young activists from Communities for a Better Environment (CBE) and their fight to end neighborhood oil drilling. Enjoy free food and live entertainment as we come together to celebrate the resilience and hope of our community.

District 15 is a short documentary that follows 5 young leaders in their fight to end neighborhood oil drilling in Wilmington, California, a community with the most concentrated oil drilling and refining operations in urban America. More than 750 oil wells are operating dangerously close to homes, schools, day cares, churches and hospitals threatening the health of thousands of Angelenos and their families. Through court cases against the city of Los Angeles, actions in collaboration with Standing Together Against Neighborhood Drilling (STAND) LA, photo essays, surveys of particulate matter, youth group meetings, canvassing and more, this short film shines light on the hope and tenacity of the youth in Wilmington, CA.
