Lowell Solidarity March and DDD

Start: Sunday, January 21, 2018 2:00 PM

End: Sunday, January 21, 2018 6:00 PM

One year ago, many of us marched in the streets, united by sadness, anger and resolve. We knew then--and we still know now--that the fight for civil liberties and civil rights can’t be stamped out by one election or one man. On the anniversary of the largest grassroots mobilization in U.S. history -- the Women’s March -- let’s gather together to strategize for 2018, march together in solidarity, and commit to collective action. We’ll meet in advance of our local Women’s March and then take to the streets together!

Join us and march around downtown Lowell followed by an indoor event (location TBD) consisting of inspirational speakers (names TBA) and optional refreshments available for purchase. After the Demonstrate portion of the event, the Drink and Discuss portion will happen at Coffee and Cotton.

The march will begin at the UMass Lowell Inn and Conference Center but PLEASE NOTE that you CANNOT park there. Park along the street (free on Sunday) or near the end location of the march (most likely Mill No. 5).

This event coincides with the conclusion of the Democratic Campaign Institute and is the January installment of Solidarity Lowell's Demonstrate, Drink, and Discuss events.
