Make SC Care Again!
Start: Saturday, March 23, 2019•11:30 AM

Expanding Medicaid in South Carolina to cover people living in poverty is not a "luxury", it's not an "entitlement", and it's not "socialism".
It is not just an election year issue.
It is a matter of life and death for the hundreds of thousands of people in our state who would become eligible for equal access to health care.
For too long South Carolina politicians have refused to expand Medicaid under the ACA to cover the poor of our state. Instead, they claim false reasons why they oppose this truly humanitarian measure, often citing the cost of expansion as something our state "can not afford". It is just not true.
Expanding Medicaid in our state would bring health care equality to hundreds of thousands of our friends and neighbors in need. The federal government will reimburse our state for 90% of the costs, using the federal tax dollars we have already paid. It would also create about 40,000 new jobs in the healthcare industry, and reduce the uninsured rate for our state by half!
It is time to speak truth to those in power.
Medicaid is not a "handout",
it's a "hand up" to those amongst us in need!
On Saturday, March 23, at 11:30 am we invite you to join us on the steps of our Statehouse for a rally and protest event to tell Gov. McMaster and the members of the General Assembly...
Keynote Speaker
Additional Speakers include:

We recommend arriving early to park nearby. This event will be during March Madness weekend here in South Carolina, and heavy traffic downtown should be anticipated.
