N4MN Friends, Sundial Building Tour, Free Food, and Fun!

For our March Member Social, Jim and Faith Kumon of Heirloom Properties will host a two-fer at the now completed Sundial Building to talk lessons learned alongside a building tour and share info on their crowdfunding opportunity for a new construction duplex with carriage house.

About the building:

The Sundial Building is a new construction 12-unit multi-family apartment building at 37th Street and Nicollet Avenue in South Minneapolis.  The three story, walkup building features a handsome brick façade, large operable windows in every living and bedroom space and all electric utilities. The 13,120 sf building has advanced sustainability features including high efficiency mini-split heating and cooling, energy recovery ventilators, Energy Star appliances, 33 kW photovoltaic system, triple pane windows and more. You'll be able to checkout finished units and get a behind the scenes tour of building systems and the roof.  https://www.sundialbuilding.com/

About the future project:

Jim and Faith will give a short presentation to explain their latest proposed project, a new construction, passive house certified, duplex with a rear carriage house. This project is in southwest Minneapolis and will have a total of three units. It will also be all electric and build on many of the systems and strategies from Sundial. This project is the subject of a Regulation Crowdfunding Testing the Waters inquiry open right now to gather interest from potential investors.
