March to Free Ingrid

Start: Saturday, January 16, 202111:00 AM

End: Saturday, January 16, 202112:30 PM

Join student organizers in Buffalo to protest the indefinite detainment of Ingrid Hernandez-Franco and to demand accountability from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Ingrid is a Salvadoran asylum-seeker who has been detained at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility for the past two years. She is not safe in detention and needs to be released immediately. You can read her story here: https://linktr.ee/freeingrid

We invite anyone who is able to take part in the march. We will meet at Niagara Square at 11 A.M. and make our way to the Buffalo Immigration Court in solidarity. A map of the location is below; both public transportation and free parking nearby are available.

The safety of everyone at the march is our top priority. We ask that protesters wear a face mask at all times and practice social distancing. Additional masks and hand sanitizer will be provided as needed. If you are attending, please make sure to fill out our sign-up form so we can keep track of the number of people at the event.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you there.
