We invite you to participate in "The March for Science" that will take place next Saturday, May 4 at 4 pm, we will leave from the Plaza de la República (on Mexico Avenue) to the Chapultepec corridor to Av. Niños Héroes.

As a civil society group that advocates evidence-based equitable scientific policies, we invite you to demand and work together to:

- Increase the Science and Technology budget, to achieve at least 1% of GDP, already established in the law.
- Formalize and respect procedures based on scientific evidence for decision making in public policies.
Invite the competent authorities to continue working for the scientific and technological development in Jalisco and the country, as well as increasing the number of scholarships and the number and amount of scholarships.
- Have a long-term policy in science and technology oriented to the needs of the population and the environment, where transparency is a guiding axis in the allocation of resources.
- Preserve the policy that promotes the freedom of research and the production of knowledge.
- Maintain the autonomy of the seven Collegiate bodies and the State Councils of Science that, together with CONACYT, affect the country's scientific policy.
