In 2019, after an unprecedented grassroots campaign by NY Renews, New York passed the most ambitious climate law in the country, the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA). Nearly two years later, the implementation of New York's climate law is well underway. Our allies on the Climate Action Council, the body tasked with implementing the bill, are fighting tirelessly for climate justice against the domination of the fossil fuel industry. Importantly, a draft plan for the law's implementation is due by the end of this year!
