Topic: Citizen Filibuster of the AHCA

Despite his pledges that any bill that failed to protect people with pre-existing conditions was a non-starter, Representative Yoder voted to pass the AHCA (Trumpcare) last Thursday, after limited debate, backroom negotiations, and no CBO score.

It's time to hold him accountable for that vote, and we're going to start by making sure he understands what's in it.  He hasn't confirmed that he read the bill, so we're going to read it for him. We'll meet at Tuesday noon at Yoder's office in Overland Park and take turns reading the full text of the AHCA out loud.

We will meet outside the office shortly before our meeting. Bring your own sign, story, or letter to share. We may meet with the Representative’s staff in small groups, so dress appropriately for the weather-- there will be outdoor time!
