The Maryland Campaign for Environmental Human Rights is excited to host a Zoom conversation on Sunday April 23 at 1pm about intergenerational equity with Dr. Jane Davidson, author and former Minister of Environment, Sustainability, and Housing in Wales from 2007 to 2011.

In her book entitled "#Futuregen: Lessons from a Small Country", she writes about her experience working on the groundbreaking Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act during her tenure in Welsh government and her vision for intergenerational equity.  

"Intergenerational equity is the idea of fairness or justice between generations." This perspective can address relations between various generations today or the responsibilities of current generations to those who will come after.

MDEHR believes this concept is very relevant to our advocacy work and we are lucky to be able to join Dr. Jane Davidson as she talks with young activists about her vision and her experience in applying this concept in Wales.
