Medicaid Town Hall with Congressman Doggett

Start: Sunday, July 16, 2017 2:00 PM

End: Sunday, July 16, 2017 3:00 PM

How will proposed cuts to Medicaid affect our community?

The health care services our community depends on are at risk. The U.S. Senate is preparing to vote on legislation to repeal the ACA that includes deep permanent cuts to Medicaid. It is time to take action and raise our voices on behalf of the many children, women, seniors and individuals living with disabilities who depend on Medicaid in our community.

Join us at this Town Hall with Congressman Doggett, who has tirelessly fought to protect our care in the House. This public forum will highlight stories of people for whom Medicaid is their lifeline. Please help us raise awareness for those who are directly impacted by Medicaid and those who serve Medicaid populations.

WHAT TO BRING:
Yourself, your family, your friends and YOUR STORY!

Has the ACA or Medicaid positively impacted your life? We want to hear about it! Come prepared to tell your story--you can write it ahead of time, or we'll provide postcards at the event. You'll also be able to record a video message telling your concerns about the attempts to repeal the ACA and gut Medicaid. You don’t have to speak if you don’t want to, supporting others is just as important.
