Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about each candidate's position on key environmental issues and pose questions directly to them. The event is structured to facilitate dialogue between candidates and constituents, ensuring transparency and accountability.

The London Assembly (LA) is a democratically elected cross-party group whose function is to hold the Mayor to account. They are there to scrutinise and question the Mayor, so that they stand firm on their commitments, and are accountable for the decisions they make. The London Assembly is made up of a list of 11 London-wide members (to ensure proportional representation and that a balance of voices is heard) and 14 constituency members. The Merton & Wandsworth constituency member candidates for main parties are: Cllr Eleanor Cox (Conservatives), Pippa Maslin (Green), Leonie Cooper (Labour), Sue Wixley (Lib Dem).

As we stand at a critical juncture in combating the climate and nature crisis, we’re calling on all candidates to take our pledge, vowing to prioritise and implement robust climate policies if elected.
