This is a virtual event

It will come as no surprise to us, as people passionate about the state of our country, that mental health problems have increased dramatically since the 2016 presidential election. A 2017 study titled, election. “Nervous Nation: An Inside Look at America’s Anxiety in the Age of Trump,” reveals that “Americans are dealing with depression, weight gain, suicidal thoughts, trouble sleeping, relationship distress, resentment, anger and feelings of nervousness because of the November election results."

One of our new members, Terre Passero, has years of experience providing individuals and teams with evidence-based mindfulness practices to better manage work and life demands for optimal health and performance. She is generously providing a VIRTUAL workshop for political activists titled, “Mindful Stress Management for Activists.” The focus will be on helping us learn tools to cope with emotional stress in a way that will improve our effectiveness and satisfaction in our personal lives and in our work together.
