In March, the CDC removed the 5-Day isolation recommendation for COVID-19. The new "Respiratory Virus Guidance" rolls COVID-19 guidelines into a larger guidance that includes the flu and RSV. The new guidance lowers isolation for people with COVID-19 to only 24 hours after being fever-free and symptoms are improving. No isolation at all if asymptomatic. Employers can push workers to return to work when they are infectious. Employees are losing paid sick leave for COVID. The CDC expected our outrage to fizzle out. Join us on Monday, July 8 for a renewed push!

Let's demand that the CDC:

-Return to the 10-day+multiple negative tests COVID isolation guidelines

-Speak out against the mask bans across the country

-Mandate masks and clean air in all medical settings

-Create a Long Covid awareness campaign that features Long Haulers to warn about the chronic illnesses that follow even a seemingly mild infection, and the danger of repeat infections

-Approve vaccines earlier in the season (before school year starts) and recommend twice-per-year vaccination for everyone.

-Educate people about the benefits of testing, masking, improving ventilation, up-to-date with vaccines, early treatment and isolation when sick.

-Create a nationwide clean air campaign for schools.

-Stop the vaccine-only approach and promote layered mitigation

-Restore widespread free PCR testing and continue the Bridge Access Program

-Restore COVID hospitalization data requirements
