Moral Monday
Start: Monday, April 17, 2023•12:00 PM
There are some frightening bills being considered in our state legislature right now. Additionally, as we face these cruel attacks on human rights in our legislature, voices are being silenced. We know a people-centered participatory movement can be a direct counter to this form of neo-fascism coming from the Statehouse.
On April 17th we will be hosting a Moral Monday rally at the state capitol in Lincoln. It is not just a day of action. It is a declaration of an ongoing, committed moral movement to 1) Build power 2) Shift the political narrative and 3) Make real policies to fully address poverty and low wealth from the bottom up. This rally will center the voices of impacted people, specifically those who have been silenced during this legislative session.
Join us at the state capitol at noon to make it clear that we will move forward together and not one step back!
