Days away from New York's April 1 budget deadline, elected officials are in the thick of negotiations that will impact millions of poor and working people across New York State.

Labor-Religion Coalition and our allies will be holding a 24-hour Moral Monday vigil at the NYS Capitol March 28-29 to call for a $15 minimum wage statewide, strong Paid Family Leave, and full funding for the Hunger Prevention and Nutrition Assistance Program, which supports NY's food pantries and soup kitchens.  If you can join us for any part of the vigil RSVP here or by emailing emcneill@labor-religion.org.

If you can't be at the Capitol, you can still take part by joining a 24-hour fast in solidarity with those keeping vigil. Your participation - wherever you are in New York - will help send a strong message to legislators and the public about the importance of addressing poverty and inequality in the budget. RSVP to let us know you will fast in support.

The passage of a statewide $15 wage, Paid Family Leave and full HPNAP funding are critical for poor and low-income New Yorkers who struggle to care for loved ones and put food on their tables each day.  We hope you'll join us at the Capitol or through fasting!
