National Campaign Training Day

Start: Saturday, September 15, 201811:00 AM

End: Saturday, September 15, 2018 4:30 PM

Parents, teachers, school staff and unions have been an unstoppable force in the fight for proper school funding. United we switched votes at the General Election in 2017, won back £1.3bn in cash for schools and made school cuts an issue Government can’t ignore.

We've come a long way but we can’t rest yet. The Government has fallen short of reversing the cuts schools have been facing for years; 9 in 10 schools still face real-terms cuts; 2,000 children with special needs don’t have a school place at all.

As school gates reopen this September, we urgently need to get to work on winning new money in the Autumn Budget. That's why on 15 September we're bringing together parents, teachers and school staff from across the country for a day of workshopping, learning and planning.

Whether you're new to campaigning or run a local group already, this will be a great opportunity to meet and learn from colleagues as passionate and determined as you to protect education.

Sessions will include:

  • A briefing on national campaign strategy and milestones;
  • How to organise effectively in your school and area;
  • How to successfully engage and lobby politicians;
  • How to use social media to grow your actions.

Full agenda and speakers TBA.

Attendance is free but you must RSVP to reserve your place.

Refreshments will be provided.
