Every January, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s vision and legacy inspire people across the U.S. to do something that lives up to his dream. The National Day of Racial Healing is observed each year on the Tuesday after Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Our offering in MLK's memory this year is:

"Advocating for Indigenous Rights: Understanding Sovereignty & the Rights of Nature"

This virtual workshop aims to empower community members with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to advocate for Indigenous sovereignty and the recognition of the Rights of Nature. Participants will learn how Indigenous rights are connected to the environment, how to engage with local and global advocacy platforms, and how to take concrete action to protect natural resources and sacred sites.
