Why: With the extreme attacks on workers, healthcare, immigrants, the LGBT+ community, voting rights, childcare, public education and more coming out of the NC General Assembly in this past two sessions, exacerbating the crisis of poverty in our state, the need to revive a progressive vision and movement in North Carolina is all the more urgent. The Rise Up & Revival GOTV Tour will build on the massive mobilizations in our state and springboard us towards mass voter education, registration and turnout for 2024, especially focused on poor and low-income voters.

In North Carolina, over 40% of the electorate is poor and low-wage. That means there are 3,464,018 poor and low-income eligible voters, including 2,326,099 White voters, 107,347 Latino voters, 26,403 Asian voters, 885,990 Black voters and 34,966 Indigenous voters. Together, they account for 41.45% of the electorate in North Carolina. WE ARE THE SWING VOTE.
