Join Hand in Hand and the New Jersey Domestic Workers Coalition on Wednesday, June 16th as we celebrate the introduction of the boldest Domestic Workers Bill of Rights yet! Hear from domestic workers, employers, and elected officials about why right now is the time to pass this historic policy to benefit workers and employers across the state of New Jersey.

The New Jersey Domestic Workers Bill of Rights will ensure that nannies, house cleaners, and home attendants will have benefits like overtime pay, written contracts, and termination notice, and it also ends racist historic exclusions that keep these workers from clear health and safety policy and discrimination and harassment protections.

This event will begin at the office of New Labor in Newark. We will proceed to Newark Penn Station in the street, a distance of about one mile. We will have a press conference at Newark Penn Station.
