Host Guidelines - Lobby Our Legislators: Pass the Climate and Community Investment Act

**PLEASE NOTE: Before you sign up to host a lobby visit, make sure you've checked in with either Geo (geo@nyrenews.org) or Xaver (xaver@nyrenews.org)**

Thank you for signing up to lead a grassroots lobby visit! Leading a grassroots lobby visit is a great way to push legislators towards climate action and to build power in our communities. As a lobby lead, you’ll schedule a meeting with your legislator, set up an Action Network Event, organize the meeting itself, and reach out to your friends and community to join you. We're here to help you every step of the way. You can email us (emails above) with any questions.

Even though these events are online, ActionNetwork still requires an address so a pin will show up on the map. Please feel free to use the legislator's district office address.

The shorter and more descriptive, the better.
Virtual events do not require a location, but virtual events with a location will appear on the event campaign map. (Those without a location will appear in search results only.) At least a ZIP/postal code is required for map placement for virtual events.
