Host Guidelines - Statewide Teach-In Weekend

We will give you all the help you need to host this event. It's low pressure. It can be as easy as asking three friends to meet you for a drink to talk about the pipeline! You are not expected to be an expert. You can learn alongside others. We will provide fact sheets for you about the risks to our health, culture, environment and economy. You can call or e-mail us anytime during the week as you plan your Teach-In!

If you don't already have an action network account, you will be asked to create one. Action Network is a super useful tool for doing this kind of work and having an account will allow you to manage and email people who use the website to RSVP to your event.

The shorter and more descriptive, the better.
Virtual events do not require a location, but virtual events with a location will appear on the event campaign map. (Those without a location will appear in search results only.) At least a ZIP/postal code is required for map placement for virtual events.
Select the timezone in which your event will take place.
URL of where attendees can attend the virtual event, such as a Zoom link. This will only be shown to event attendees via email after RSVPing.
