If technology allows jurisdictions to mail a traffic ticket then technology knows when we reach voting age and also where we live; it is time for automatic voter registration.The United States houses 25% of the world's inmates despite having only 5% of the world's population. It is time to end for-profit prisons and bed quotas which provide a financial incentive for mass incarceration rather than rehabilitation. A tiny tax of .50 on a $100 trade could generate nearly $1 trillion in income for the U.S. government over the next 10 years.================================================SENATEHere is a list of our priorities: <ul><li>Return to regular order; hold hearings, briefings and debate on important legislation</li><li>The U.S is first in the world in health care costs but 37th in the world in health care outcomes. Make health care a right and support Medicare for All</li><li>Ensure our young work force is the best educated in the world with College for All</li><li>Reform Tax Policy and End Tax Giveaways to millionaires and billionaires</li><li>Support budget initiatives that help families and communities, promote world peace, create jobs, protect the environment, provide good education for our children and provide affordable/safe housing</li><li>Protect our public infrastructure (water, schools, roads, Postal Service, etc.) from privatization</li><li>Create Living Wage Jobs in America that pay $15/hour</li><li>Advance a Fair Trade Policy that Keeps American Jobs in America</li><li>Make the ability to vote an American right not a privilege</li><li>End wage discrimination based on sex, race and gender, ratify the Equal Rights Amendment</li><li>Make Wall Street Pay its Fair Share through a Financial Transaction Tax; we can raise more than $1 trillion with a $.50 tax on a $100 trade over 10 years</li><li>End our wars and occupations and invest in local communities rather than foreign misadventures</li><li>America has 25% of the world’s prisoners but only 5% of the world’s population; end all policies that incarcerate for profit and destroy families and communities</li><li>Ensure that our seniors and able to live in dignity by expanding Social Security</li><li>Ensure that members of the disabled community have the means to live independent and dignified lives</li></ul>
