Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) is wreaking havoc across the United States. From ND to PA, OH to LA, MI to TX, and more, ETP continues to systematically and ruthlessly violate indigenous sovereignty and human rights. Wherever they build, ETP steals land, poisons air and water, and trashes the climate.
Enough is enough. On September 8th & 9th, 2017, an emerging coalition of frontline communities and allies are taking action across the country to #StopETP and defend indigenous rights and our water, land, air, and climate. By taking coordinated action targeting ETP, we will launch a broader, sustained effort to disrupt ETP’s business-as-usual until the company withdraws their unnecessary and damaging pipeline projects, stops violating human rights, and stops polluting the air, water, and climate.
Activists and community groups are invited to organize an action targeting any of the following:
– ETP pipeline projects, both proposed and existing;
– Other existing ETP/Sunoco facilities, including those owned and operated by subsidiaries;
– Financiers of ETP projects, in coordination with the Divest DAPL movement;
– ETP corporate offices;
– TigerSwan offices; and
– U.S. Army Corps of Engineers offices.
Actions can be as simple as a press conference and small rally, or as elaborate as a large action, march, rally, etc. The important thing is that we will be taking collective action against Energy Transfer Partners, and making it clear we will not accept their reckless corporation attacks on our water, land, sovereignty, climate, and communities.
