From August 26th to International Suicide Prevention Day on September 10th, 579 pairs of shoes will be laid out in towns across New Zealand. The shoes represent everyone we lost to suicide in 2016.
We want the Government to set a suicide prevention target and hold an urgent independent mental health inquiry. They've refused to do both.
The events will create a platform for bereaved families to share their stories and demand action for our failing mental health system.
Attend one of our events or host your own.
If you host your own we can support you to promote your event and contact local media outlets.
