Host Guidelines - Accelerate Climate Action livestream viewing party

Accelerate viewing parties are a chance for us to come together with people in our communities, share the urgency of climate change, our hope for a more just future, and empower people to act now for a safe climate.

Read below before clicking away.

To get your event on the map on the website:
1. Give your event a name that tells people where it is (e.g. "UTAS Sandy Bay Accelerate viewing party").
2. Fill in the details like time (likely 6:30pm or so for a 7pm livestream) and venue (include postcode).
3. Add any extra details to the event description you want (e.g. there will be pizza!)
4. Submit and then CHECK YOUR EMAIL. You will need to just activate your login before it will finalise the registration.

Note: These tools are subject to our normal user guidelines so any inappropriate or discriminatory language or images will be removed.

The shorter and more descriptive, the better.
Virtual events do not require a location, but virtual events with a location will appear on the event campaign map. (Those without a location will appear in search results only.) At least a ZIP/postal code is required for map placement for virtual events.
Select the timezone in which your event will take place.
URL of where attendees can attend the virtual event, such as a Zoom link. This will only be shown to event attendees via email after RSVPing.
