Host Guidelines - Early Voting Event

Don’t see an event near you? Host an Early Voting educational event, hand out fliers at public gatherings, or plan a Get Out The (Early) Vote event to bring your community to the polls! We'll provide training and support; and if you want to host a public event we can help recruit and publicize it.

• Host an Early Voting educational event to encourage people to Get Out The (Early) Vote.
• Hand out fliers at public gatherings like markets, fairs, community meetings, Oktoberfests, or Town Halls; or canvass your neighbors door-to-door. (Even if it's something small, you can and should post it as an event here so that people in your community know they can ask you about early voting!)
• Boo York! Halloween is the 6th day of Early Voting. Trick or treating with your kids? Bring fliers and hand them out. Don't have kids and just miss trick or treating? Hand out fliers! Reverse Trick or Treat by handing out fliers with your candy.
• Plan a Get Out The (Early) Vote event to bring your community to the polls. Vote together with your neighbors, book club, church, community center, school, workmates, or family. Plan a rally or a party at the polls with your neighbors, local civic organizations, or local reps. Host a Souls to the Polls from your place of worship, a Student March to the Polls from your school, a Bike to the Polls with your crew, or a Roll to the Polls from your retirement home. Vote in costume on Halloween. Host your birthday party at the polls. What other fun ideas can you come up with?
• BONUS: Bring fliers, posters, or postcards to your local library, school, market, housing complex, community center, or place of worship.

We'll be with you every step of the way. But we can’t reach your community without you!
