No to Drivers' Month - Bicycle Swarm

Start: Saturday, November 14, 202010:15 AM

End: Saturday, November 14, 202012:00 PM

When it comes to climate action Adelaide City Council has chucked a uey.

In what "might be the most stupid decision in the city council’s history" they're holding "Drivers' Month" this November. Encouraging motorists into the city through reduced parking and daily $100 gift vouchers to those who park with their (1.4 stars) mobile app.

In response we're holding a slow paced bicycle swarm to symbolise how ACC are moving to the back of the pack on climate action. The swarm will tour the sites of "Drivers' Month" with visits to Town Hall and several UPark Car Parks ending with a picnic by the Adelaide Himeji Japanese Garden on South Terrace.

Meet by the Tesla Supercharger next to the Adelaide Central Bus Station at 85 Franklin St.

Invite your cycling friends for what will be some fun, low risk civil disobedience. You're welcome to bring some lunch and join us for a picnic afterwards at Wita Wirra/Peppermint Park (Park 18).

We ask that you please bring helmets, sun protection, water, your own hand sanitiser and a face mask (if you wish to wear one).
