The MTA is scheduled to vote next week for a regressive fare hike on essential workers and low-income New Yorkers. That's why, the Invest in Our New York Campaign is teaming up with the Riders Alliance to demand the Governor pass the Invest in Our New York Act instead of raising fares and taxes!

Millions of New Yorkers are out of work and millions more are working from home. The regressive MTA fare hike would fall overwhelmingly on essential workers and low-income Black and brown New Yorkers with no option but transit to get around the city. An equitable recovery can't start with a fare hike.

The Invest in Our New York Act is a package of 6 bills that end tax breaks for the wealthiest New Yorkers and raises $50 Billion to invest in transit,  housing, healthcare, schools, teachers, our towns, cities, workers and youth
