North Carolina Moral Mondays Poor People’s Campaign Legislative Demand Deliveries

Join the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival on March 15th at 12 Noon for our annual news conference and demand delivery. North Carolina will join with states around the country and Washington DC to put our legislatures on notice. We won’t be silent as their failures to raise the minimum wage, fully fund public education and expand Medicaid continue to directly impact the poor and disenfranchised people of North Carolina.

Schedule:

11:30AM arrive and gather signs and assemble for the press conference.

12 Noon  press conference begins

12:30PM program concludes.

12:45PM Deliver our Demands to the General Assembly members

Parking Directions: Visitor's Lot 1 is at the corner of Jones and WIlmington Sts, with entrances on Jones and Edenton Sts. There is also a parking deck at 329 N Salisbury St and it can also be accessed from the 300 block of N McDowell St. Another parking deck an be accessed at 120 W Edenton St., at the corner of Edenton and McDowell. There are only very limited on-street parking spaces near the General Assembly.

For Covid safety we are asking that all participants wear double masks and remain at least 8ft apart at all times. If you are feeling at all ill, even the slightest of symptoms we ask that you stay at home and join online at facebook.com/PPCNC

We stand united with folks across the country as they too deliver the Poor People’s Campaign 14 Policy Priorities to legislative leaders and governor at their state capitals. Together we are bringing attention to the impact of policies which promote systemic racism, poverty and inequality, the war economy and militarism, environmental devastation, and the corrupt moral narrative.
