On Tuesday, March 5, from 6:00-700 pm, the NoVA Migrant Justice Working Group will host an open meeting and political education event, "Migrant Justice Starts at Home: How Local Action Can Help Thwart ICE's Deportation Machine." Join us via Zoom to learn about the role of city and county governments, sheriff's departments, and police within ICE's deportation pipeline, and to hear how migrant-led coalitions have successfully built power in recent years to challenge ICE at the local level. This event is open to all. If you're interested in learning more about the current immigration landscape in the US, migrant justice wins of the past few years that point the way forward, and how to get plugged into our ongoing work in NoVA, this meeting is for you!
