Please join us on zoom November 28th at 7 pm CT, 5 pm PT, for our Unlearning Circle Talking about Race. This Unlearning Circle will build our skills to engage in conversations with friends, families, lovers and community about race. Engaging in conversations about race can activate our fears around perfectionism and fear of conflict.

We might believe that we should already know how to have difficult conversations. Without practice and reflection on the situation with others, however, our conversations may fall short of our expectations. Fearing we might mess up, not be perfect, we may entirely avoid these conversations.

Liberated Structures’ Troika consulting process is away to prepare, in community, to have these difficult conversations about race. We can invite others into a Troika process at any time to support us in thinking through situations and suggesting approaches that we struggle to see on our own. We can also use Troika to support ourselves and others to build vital relationships and meet the challenges of anti-racist work.

James Baldwin said, Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced. Join us on November 28th with the gathered UWSinKC community to face the challenge of building our muscle to have difficult conversations about race.

Hope to see you there!

UWSinKC invites you to give us feedback about the ULCs - what you like about our format and ideas you have for ways ULCs could better meet your needs - things you’d like us to try, explore more, what might be altered, . . .. Please take a few minutes to email UWSinKC@UWSinKC.com with the subject line: feedback ULC.
